  Destiny 2 Tower - Final Post My name is Kyle Ramser, and my group Ghost just finished our final for Game Asset Production. At the start of this project, we set out to recreate the Tower, which is a social space from Destiny 2. I was acting as our primary modeler during the project, and Used the time during the project to refine my modeling and texturing abilities. Overall, I think the game scene itself ended up looking alright, but I think it could have been a lot more refined with more time. I was proud of the amount of work that I did for the project overall, and I think a lot of my models ended up looking very good. The story of the tower is that it is essentially the last safe spot in the galaxy for the Guardians to socialize and keep their base in. Because of this, I made a lot of the models slightly dirty, to show that element of ongoing war, but also made a lot of the models look shiny with their minimal dirt to reflect the light in a way that would make the tower look bri...

CAGD 373 - Destiny 2 Tower - Sprint 5

My name is Kyle Ramser, and I am currently working with my group to recreate the Tower, a social space from Destiny 2. We just finished up our fifth sprint of the project, which means we are nearly at the deadline for the game scene. This sprint was a fairly productive one for me, as I was able to finish nine cards, all which were very important to the main layout of our scene, and was able to make some progress on the modeling of a pistol for the main player character. So far, this has proven to be one of the most difficult models I have ever tried to create. This sprint, I focused on finishing the last of our main models. This includes things like the vault wall, the giant overhang in the back of the map, and a modular wall to be used for the left side of the map.I was able to model and UV each of these, as well as add a few smaller things like a target for the shooting range and a Unity local fog to block off the underside of the tower. All I need to do now is to import these models...

Destiny 2 Tower - Sprint 4 My name is Kyle Ramser, and I am currently working with my group to recreate the Tower, a social space from Destiny 2. During our fourth sprint, I mainly worked on finishing up some textures and continuing to model the pistol for our player. The pistol is proving to be even harder than I had thought originally, but I should be able to have it finished and textured by next week. I completed slightly less cards this week than usual, but I am confident I can pick up that slack in this next and final sprint to make sure that the project is done on time. The main pieces that I textured this week were the side building, the platforms, the stairs, and the laptop. On top of these, I was also able to texture a lot of the larger floor pieces like the ramp and back floor area so that they will look good together during the walkthrough. I am mostly happy with how all of these came out, and am especially happy with the alphas for the platforms and stairs, as the see-throu...
